The Enforcement Branch of the Kolkata Police conducted a search operation and seized a large quantity of fake pesticides in the Jorasanko area. These were being sold at the label center of a reputed company. The seized items are worth lakhs of rupees. However, no one was arrested in the incident.
According to EB sources, counterfeit products of the reputed company and packets and containers of different sizes were being made in a warehouse at Nilmadhab Sen Lane in Jorasanko area. After receiving information from a secret source, the police raided. Products and packets of reputed companies like Dabur India Limited, Bare Corp Science Limited and Insecticide India Limited were being sold in fake form.
